Civitas Ensemble to open its sixth season on October 16, 2016.

To sup­port the project with the Gipsy Way Ensem­ble from the Czech Repub­lic later in the sea­son, Civ­i­tas Ensemble’s sea­son opener on Sun­day, Octo­ber 16 at 3pm in Ganz Hall will fea­ture works of Czech com­posers, includ­ing Bohuslav Martinu’s Quar­tet, H. 312, Zdenek Fibich’s (1850−1900) Quin­tet Op. 42 for vio­lin, cello, clar­inet, French horn, and piano and Leoš Janáček’s String Quar­tet #1, “Kreutzer Sonata.” $30 tick­ets and free stu­dent tick­ets are avail­able now and can be pur­chased by click­ing the link below.
